How to apply
Online
- Go to the CBSE Udaan registration portal (linked from cbseudaan.nic.in) during the annual application window
- Read the scheme guidelines and register to create an account
- Log in and fill the online application form with personal, academic and school details
- Upload scanned copies of Class 10 marksheet, school undertaking, income certificate and photograph
- Submit; note your application ID for tracking
- Selection is based on Class 10 merit and financial-need screening, with reservation norms applied; selected candidates are notified via registered email/phone

FAQs
Is this only for CBSE-board students?
No — Kendriya Vidyalaya, Navodaya Vidyalaya, and government/government-aided school students of any recognised board are also eligible, alongside CBSE-affiliated private school students.
Is there any cost?
No — the scheme is completely free for selected students, including study material and coaching sessions.
Can boys apply?
No — CBSE Udaan is exclusively for girl students, to address the gender gap in engineering/STEM enrolment.
