How to apply
Online
- Visit the Udyamimitra portal (udyamimitra.in) or Jan Samarth portal (jansamarth.in)
- Register and fill in business, loan-category (Shishu/Kishor/Tarun) and personal details
- Upload required KYC and business documents
- Submit the application; a reference/application ID is generated
- Track status online; the chosen bank/NBFC processes and disburses upon approval
In-person / offline
- Visit the nearest bank/NBFC/MFI branch offering Mudra loans
- Collect and fill the Mudra loan application form (specify Shishu/Kishor/Tarun)
- Attach identity, address, business plan and other required documents
- Submit at the branch counter; loan is sanctioned and disbursed after verification

Is this loan specifically for women?
No — PMMY is open to all eligible Indian citizens, but women entrepreneurs form a large share of Mudra borrowers and some banks offer preferential terms.
Do I need collateral?
No — Mudra loans are designed to be collateral-free for the borrower, backed by the Credit Guarantee Fund for Micro Units (CGFMU).
Can I use it to buy a personal vehicle?
