What it provides
Staggered financial assistance (total up to Rs 1.1-1.25 lakh) to a girl child at school entry, class 9 entry and on turning 18 (for higher education/marriage), to improve the sex ratio and reduce girl-child dropout.

Girl child born in Gujarat on/after 2 August 2019, family annual income up to Rs 2 lakh, up to two girls per family eligible.

How to apply
Online
- Visit esamajkalyan.gujarat.gov.in
- Register/log in and select the Vahli Dikri Yojana application
- Fill personal, family income and bank details
- Upload birth certificate and income proof
- Submit; application is verified by the district Women & Child Development office
- Return to claim subsequent instalments at Class 9 entry and age 18
